🇬🇧 This Western Union refer-a-friend reward is UK only You get a £10 prepaid mastercard reward after you've made your first "International" transfer of at least £50. This isnt as bad as it sounds because there's as neat trick to satisfy the referral rules without sending fifty quid off to distant lands! (Send it to yourself from yourself) Here's what you do: 1) Using my referral link sign up for for a new Western Union account. It may prompt you to download the app but you can continue on the website if you wish. 2) when account is set up head over to the "send money" screen. 3) where it says "send to" choose United Kingdom 4) set the send amount as £50 5) choose to send to a Bank Account (important) 6) choose to Pay Online and from a Credit/Debit Card 7) Check that it now says receiver gets £50 (must not be less) 8) Where it says receiver gets £50 click the icon to get a breakdown of the transaction and make sure the fee is zero. If it isn't zero you may need to cover the fee - the recipient must receive at least £50 9) Click next and and accept 10) Use a UK bank account that is in your name as the receiver (I used Monzo) 11) Use a UK debit card that is in your name as the sender (I used my Monzo debit card. !! It is important that you don't use a credit card or prepaid card as this will either incurs fees or invalidate the reward. 12) Finish off filling in the info and make the transfer. Yes you did just send 50 quid from your UK debit card straight to your UK bank account - and it is an international transfer as it went via Western Union's financial network on the way. 13) Once transfer has been made, you will receive your £10 reward by email in a few days. This now qualifies you to refer five friends in the same way for a further £50 of rewards - so £60 up for grabs in total!
