Here’s how it works: Sign up for a free OhmConnect account and sync it with your online utility account. You must have an online account with one of these three utility companies to participate: Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E or Southern California Edison (SCE). OhmConnect will send you payments for reducing your electricity for one hour per week. They do this because you’re helping to not contribute to the high demand that prompts unclean power sources to turn on. You could earn hundreds of dollars each year, plus you’re helping save the planet! PG&E, SCE and SDG&E electric service customers are eligible, if Not enrolled in a demand response program. A smart device is Not required to participate with OhmConnect. HOW-TO: 1.) After using link and signing up for an OhmConnect account: Log on to your OhmConnect account @: hidden-url 2.) At the top left of this page, you’ll see ‘Your utility status’ with a big red button. 3.) Click that button and you’ll be prompted to enter your utility username and password. 4.) Once you’ve finished that, you’ll be asked to sign a document with DocuSign — the lawyers at OhmConnect need you to sign it so you can start earning money for using less energy. 5.) After you sign that form, you’re done. But be patient: it can take up to 7 days for your utility to approve your account. 6.) You’ll get an email from OhmConnect as soon as you’re approved, and DONE! you’ll be all set and ready to make money by saving energy! I know it might seem like a lot, but it actually takes about 30 seconds to sign everything and get fully enrolled.
