Did you know you can play the state lottery from home? Here's a free ($2 worth) ticket to give the Jackpocket lottery app a try.
Click the referral link and create your account to get $2 in free lottery tickets! New users only, offer subject to change, without notice, at Jackpocket's discretion.
Jackpocket is currently available in Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, and Washington D.C.—and expanding to many new markets.
It’s a great way to get official state lottery tickets (while within that states lines). The send a staff member out to purchase the ticket on your behalf, scan, and upload the ticket to your account (less the barcode for security reasons), and lock it up in a safe. Then they automatically check your numbers and alert you, if you win, via push alert, emails, and/or call - depending how much you win.
I tried a two other services first, however one didn’t give you a copy of the ticket (and no real proof it was actually purchased), and both had a per line fee of (in my case) the same cost as the ticket, so a $9 ticket was $18 when all was said and done.
Jackpocket charges a nominal fee upfront when you load money to your account and is very transparent about it. So far it appears to be about ~9.5% of the amount your loading, much better than their competitors I tried out which were 100% of the ticket costs in fees. Account funding options differ depending what state you’re in, but in general you can use paypal, debit visa or debit MasterCard, e-check, or set up a direct debit from your bank account.
Overall, I love the service!!
