The books you review are excerpts from ARCs or which stands for Advanced Reader Copy an unpublished copy of a book, not yet edited due to be released in a few months time from now. These ARCs are distributed by publishers for free to be reviewed but which are illegal to buy or sell anywhere else. These reviews help critique and promote and generate early buzz on a unpublished book. Bookish also rewards points for you to share the ARC reviews you've written for them to book stores, blogs, other book review sites, and online book groups. By sharing just one of your book reviews to multiple different sites you can really rack up the points! You're rewarded 100 points for every review you write and reviews are supposed to be short right around 200 words. Each share per review earns 100 points too. You also gain 100 points for each person who uses your referral link to signup to BookishFirst. You need to earn 2000 points to be rewarded the full length copy of an ARC.
