The founders of Pure Planet are the four big names that were behind the launch of the mobile phone companies Virgin Mobile, Orange, T-Mobile, and EE, and these are Andrew Ralston, Steven Day, Chris Alliott, and Tom Alexander. They established Pure Planet in order to deliver a modern, digital, renewable energy supplier that offered value for money which started in May 2017. Pure Planet joined forces with BP to set up the company. BP helped to finance the company, and currently own 24% in a non-controlling capacity.
