Stocks & cryptos? 🤔 For finance dingdongs like me?? 🤯 They're more accessible than you think!🎯
Hi! I'm Lizzie🦎 My 2020 New Years Resolution was to learn what stocks were and how to get in on that action. I dove headfirst into investing any money I could afford to squirrel away🐿🌰...which wasn't a lot. "HOW DO YOU DO STOCKS?" I literally googled that sentence. Because I didn't know enough about the stock market or cryptocurrencies to ask a more educated question than that. And I didnt have a clue where to start, or what options were out there for people like me who wanted to start investing but only had comically small amounts of money to do it with. I especially didn't know what features to look for in an investment app...so...I downloaded them alll! And there are a lot of them. Once I got going, even though my stakes were very low, it became something I would check regularly & learn more about. Honestly, I had no idea it could be FUN 🤯 Or that there would be so many promos & bonuses. I'm not going to claim I got rich from this learning experience (😂 anyone who tells you to *expect* a huge return on investment is trying to sell you something), but some of these apps have generous enough bonuses that I didnt need to deposit any of my own money in order to start using them. It's a great way to learn about investment options without any real risk. 🏆My top recommendations🏆 Stock Apps: 🥇Dough 🥈Robinhood 🥉WeBull Cryptocurrency Wallets/Apps: 🥇Coinbase 🥈Voyager 🏅still reviewing some others
Lizzie's Lowdown: Voyager is an excellent cryptocurrency app. I'll compare it to my other favorite crypto wallet app, Coinbase, which I've used for longer: Big Pro: Voyager allows limit orders, so you can set up auto buying/selling when a coin reaches a certain price Pro: Much bigger selection of cryptocurrencies available to buy/sell/trade, including some of coins that are a fraction of a penny. Con (for some): Voyager has a $10 minimum for buying and selling. Coinbase will let you buy/sell/trade any amount, even cents. Minor Con: Voyager doesn't offer one step trades from one crypto to another, you have to sell then buy. Coinbase lets you directly convert any available crypto to any other one. Voyager's layout is less intuitive than Coinbase, but it offers more detailed information and ways to sort, such as %change by hour, which is a big one Coinbase lacks.
Coinbase makes it so easy for anyone to use Bitcoin (& loads of other cryptocurrencies!) No tech savvy required, the app simplifies everything so don't need to know how any of it works. Buy it, sell it, send it, exchange it...or receive it from others! 🤳

Worldwide Top Crypto Trading Platform. Bittrex Global is one of the most secure trading platforms in the world. Built on Bittrex’s cutting-edge technology, Bittrex Global provides an institutional grade experience for professional and novice customers alike. The Company is headquartered near the financial center of Zurich, in the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Coinbase has all kinds of incentives right now aiming to get people interested in cryptocurrencies (other than BitCoin). They'll give you $12 of XLM, no strings attached, for watching a few short clips about Stellar Lumens & answering basic questions about what you watched.🖥
Lizzie's Lowdown: Coinbase has some fantastic promotions, and this is one of them. All you have to do is watch a 2 minute video that explains what EOS is, and answer a few multiple choice questions about it. Then they instantly deposit $10 of EOS into your account with no limitations, it's yours to trade or sell or withdraw.

Dough is really cool. From reading about the company, it was founded by fintech nerds of color who wanted investing to be accessible to populations it never was before. The app feels a lot more personal than some of its competitors. They have a hilarious weekly podcast and the whole vibe of the app is "we're having fun here!". I don't know enough about investing yet to have an opinion on the more advanced stuff, but it's really easy to buy and sell stocks.
Robinhood was my intro to all of this. I didn't even realize they had competitors for a while! It's super simple to start using Robinhood. And I've literally never made a single deposit, because you don't need to make a deposit in order to get your free stock! I got super lucky and received one of the really good stocks for signing up and just used that money to invest with. Robinhood is all around easy to use, doesn't crash, and doesn't make anything too complicated. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to "try before they buy"!
